Spill the Tea Relay Race Registration - June 1st, 10am - 12pm

Get your running (or walking) shoes, your coordination, a costume (optional) and join us for the 1st annual "Spill The Tea" relay race. All proceeds for this event will go to Rooted in Cheyenne.

Rooted In Cheyenne is the largest non-profit tree planting program in Wyoming with 1,432 trees planted locally since 2017.The mission of Rooted in Cheyenne is to build a more diverse and resilient urban tree canopy while cultivating greener, healthier and more livable neighborhoods.

Here are the details:

• Each team will consist of 4 participants
• Pre-registration should be submitted here, but each team will be required to check in by 9am the morning of the race. Each team member will be required to sign a waiver before they can participate in the race. We don't necessarily need all the names of your team members at this point assuming you will have your team put together by race day.
• Teams will be broken up into heats of two teams racing against each other per heat.
• The first team member will start with a full tea cup and navigate a short course through trees and return to the starting line to fill up the next team members tea cup.
• Winning teams will be scored based on the fastest time and the least amount of tea spilled. The final amount of tea will be measured at the end of the race to determine the number of ounces still remaining in the final cup.
• An awards ceremony will be immediately following the race and prizes will be as follows:
  • 1st Prize - $200 in Prizes (divided among the team, each prize bag will have 4 of each item)
  • 2nd Prize - $140 in Prizes (divided among the team, each prize bag will have 4 of each item)
  • 3rd Prize - $80 in Prizes (divided among the team, each prize bag will have 4 of each item
• Whoever registers will be considered the team lead and all future correspondence about the race will go to the email on the registration form.
• The race will happen rain or shine unless there is a torrential downpour. Unfortunately, we will not be able to issue refunds, but will make every effort to help find a replacement team if you can't make it.
• Space is limited to 12 teams so sign up early!
