Description: With over two hundred varieties, Passion flowers are beautiful plants found mostly in the Tropical forests of North and South America. Passion flower was an official herb of the U.S National Formulary from 1916 to 1936. This plant has a lot of history with being associated as an aid to the overworked. Recent studies have found that drinking Passion flower as a tea can help with the treatment of alcoholism.
Precautions: Avoid during pregnancy. Large doses may cause nausea and/or vomiting.
