Family: Rosaceae (Rose Family). Actions: Antimicrobial, astringent, tonic, bitter, diuretic, vulnerary, antispasmodic, diaphoretic, carminative, hepatic, cholagogue. Energetics: Drying, cooling, slightly bitter and pungent.

Description: Grown as a hedge plant and known for its sticky seeds, Agrimony has been used historically in a formula called Eau de Arquebusade which was primarily used for treating wounds, sprains, bruises and foot pain. Due to its drying nature, it was traditionally used in eyewashes externally and internally to help with digestive stress*

Precautions: Not recommended for people with dry conditions or pregnancy. May interfere with anti-diabetic pharmaceuticals by having an additive effect.
