Description: Considered an adaptogenic herb in Ayurveda tradition. Known as the “queen of herbs” or “she who possess 100 spouses,” Shatavari is said to help promote feelings of love, compassion and a gentle loving spirit.

Historically, Shatavari has been used to increase longevity, boost immunity, improve mental function and acts as a galactagogue (a substance that helps increase milk supply) for nursing mothers.*

Generally speaking, Shatavari moistens, cools and restores the entire system which can be beneficial in treating acid indigestion, ulcers and menopausal complaints in females. *

In Ayurveda terms, Shatavari is great for helping balance Pitta doshas (constitutions based on fire and water) who run hot, sharp and tend to be type A personalities.
